Mind as Images?

Antonio Damásio, a well known neuroscientist, researcher, and author of books about consciousness, concludes that the Mind is ’em-bodied, not just em-brained’, and images are ‘the currency of our minds’.

In his view, an image is more than a visual representation; it is a ‘pattern in any of our senses, such as a sound image, a tactile image, the image of a state of well being’. From his perspective, an organism interacts with its environment as an ensemble, both influencing each other.

So, one’s ‘mind’ would then be the accumulated result of the interactive process between one’s attention-feedback from the environment and one’s physiology. Environment includes inner milieu, space, and any close objects & organisms. Thus,
