Cathedra of JC

Cathedra of Jesus the Christ

Calvary Slope, outside of old Jerusalem

The Knights Templar built their churches in Europe in a very unique form, which was derived from the shape and sacred proportions of certain parts of the Holy Sepulchre Church:

Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre, in Jerusalem

Church of the Anastasis (‘Resurrection’)

A gold-domed rotunda, diameter 65 ft, called the Dome of the Anastasis (Resurrection), covers the edicule (small edifice) that encloses and protects the rock-cut tomb/rock/cathedra or sepulchre of Jesus. A great basilica extends eastwards. Over time, all this was destroyed and restored many times.

Oculus (Ø 3.9m) in Rotunda dome (Ø 19m)

Jesus Christ Pantocrator (Almigthy)
in Catholicon dome (Ø 9m)

The catholicon is built over a large crypt, shaped as a cross-in-square church, with groin vaults forming the roof. The roof and much of the walls are covered with wall paintings, dated to the first half of the 11th century. The church was built of large, ancient stone blocks.

The Rotunda dome was built in 1149 by the Knights Templar Crusaders, and rebuilt in 1810 in Ottoman Baroque style.

A double square is touching one circle in Golden Mean proportion,
whereby all 4 purple circles are related in Golden Mean as well:

In the Templar church complex in Tomar, Portugal,
the double square, built 300 years after the Rotunda,
does not touch the middle circle.
Its width is the width of the church rectangle,
not the width of the Chapter House.

The Easter Holy Fire:

The French monk Bernard the Wise saw this Easter fire in 876 AD, and was the first to report this in W-Europe. It is caused by electrically igniting plasma in a miraculous way.
