Celestial Deity

Celestial Deity (Star)

Aditya

Adityas, in Hinduism, denotes solar deities associated with various aspects of life and cosmology. They are not stars but express a Star/Sun. This Sun offers energy and vitality, and is connected through the passage of time to its 12 solar deities, each corresponding to a month.

These solar deities embody the divine qualities of light, power, and guidance, thus reflecting their importance in Vedic religious practices. In the Ramayana, Rama is depicted as a solar deity or direct descendant of the Sun.

Life on Earth is sustained by the Sun. Without it there will be only barren & frozen land, with no vegetation and life. Planets need sunlight to perform photosynthesis that converts carbon dioxide to oxygen. Seasons are caused by the planet’s position towards its Sun throughout its 360° cycle around it.

Modern science taught us that a human body needs sunlight to make Vitamin D, crucial for healthy body/bones. The body needs Vitamin D to absorb calcium. The skin makes it using sunlight. Without sunlight, one cannot have strong bones and active brains, the basis for good health.

A sun/star god is driven by a 7-horsed Chariot depicting the 7 days of the week and the 7 colors of rainbow which are seen due to the dispersion of the Sun’s rays.

Creation

Each Star/Sun has 12 specific Zodiac Signs. Each of the 12 signs represent different energy signatures of that Star/Sun. The Signs are not real, but are made to simplify how the energy of a Sun is manifesting through its “Cycle of Time”.

Our Sun takes on 12 energetic forms to create everything through its 12 zodiac signs. As a horoscope has 12 Houses, anything in life manifests from these 12 houses/zodiac signs.

Dwadasha Aditya

Dwadasha is Sanskrit for 12. Aditya means giving light. Each soul “born” in a human body on a planet has a vedic chart Sun sign. That Sun sign will tell which form of that Sun is blessing that human with life, health, wealth, and prosperity.

The 12 Adityas based on a Sun’s position in the Zodiac are:

A solar deity is invoked during a vedic ritual, particularly when the sun sets. These deities represent celestial bodies or stars. They are often associated with light and life. Egyptians called their Sun God “Raa”. Hindus call it “Raam”.
