Does 2D Attention wear you out ?

Chronic 2D Object-Attention will create a behavioral loop. Narrow focus exacerbates fearful circumstances and then when circumstances have changed and we are no longer in danger we tend to remain a narrow focus as a way of avoiding our residual feelings of fear and anxiety.

2D Object-Attention is used as a strategy to escape by keeping the mind distracted. The more interested you are in something out there, the more effective it is as an anxiety management technique. Many of us use our attention to manage our physical and emotional pain, without realizing it.

We rivet our attention on the virtual worlds of the computer and TV, in order to escape emotional chaos or the feeling of memories that arise on the edge of sleep. Diversionary strategies are used to the point of addiction.

Using a 2D Object-Attention beam has taught us to operate safely and productively in a busy and demanding world. Chronic 2D Object-Attention requires a great deal of energy. Yet most of us are not aware of the tension that the use of this focus produces. We have become habituated to it.
