Is it All about Energy?

Are the traumatic symptoms caused by the traumatic event itself? Or do they stem from the frozen residue of response-energy that has not been discharged? As this resistance-residue remains trapped in our nervous system and the star-tetrahedrons of our lightbody, it can consequently wreak havoc on our body and mind.

The long-term alarming, debilitating, and often bizarre symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) develop when we cannot complete the process of moving through the immobility state and into the state of surrender.

A deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car will freeze if it sees that it cannot escape the inevitable. If the motorist waits, it will run until it feels safe. It will discharge every ounce of energy created in the freeze response before it resumes its ordinary activity.

A threatened animal (including the “human” animal) must discharge all the energy mobilized to negotiate that threat or it will become a victim of trauma.

Infants will discharge this energy in the form of shaking, screaming, kicking and crying, as it can neither fight nor flee. The energy mobilized in its system must be discharged.

However, adults find this response highly disturbing. Thus, a screaming child is to be calmed, distracted and comforted as quickly as possible, by any means necessary.
