TRILLIONS OF CONNECTIONS
Neurons form networks along which the vortices travel. From the dendrites of each neuron to the distant tip of its axon, these vortices propagate through the neural membrane in the form of electricity.
Since neurons communicate with one another without touching, they use special molecules called neurotransmitters to pass vortex impulses from 1 neuron to the next.
This chemical transmission of these impulses caused the axon and dendrites to develop specific structures for adaptation.
Dendrites have thousands of “spines” sticking up out of their surface. The bulb-like terminal buttons of the axons secrete neurotransmitters and are positioned opposite these spines.
