Awesome Attention

Awesome Attention or ‘Valued Appreciation’ is more than gratitude. It is an act of deliberately valuing some-thing or some-one, that transforms gratitude from an after-the-fact expression of feeling to a before-the-fact deliberate engaging of energy. That is the energy of appreciation!

Appreciation is a wave of Attention-energy that carries a special quality of feeling, an authentic caring for someone, or yourself. This high-frequency energy beam can transform troubling situations and attract joyful experiences.

In her book ‘The Power of Appreciation’, Dr. Noelle Nelson calls this Appreciative Attention a non-judgmental awareness of whatever arises, with a lightness that can defuse most uncomfortable situations, without disrespecting the others.

We all have developed certain qualities in our lives, called ‘buried treasure’. Ask friends and family what they are. Now, imagine your authentic self as a reliable, caring, good- sense-of-humor individual, rather than just the ‘OK type’.
