Trust your Gut?

The phrase ‘trust your gut‘ is heard more often, nowadays. Immersing your Attention, means ‘hearing’ this instinctual, unspoken voice. Most of us have little experience to help guide us to this awareness.

Western culture teaches you to read, write, calculate, but rarely do we come across a school that teaches anything about immersing your Attention.

Most people use this sense every day, but very few of us consciously acknowledge it, and even fewer cultivate it.
It is important to recognize that this sense faculty is a very natural human capacity.

Those of us who are traumatized may find immersing their Attention quite challenging. Part of the dynamic of trauma is that it cuts us off from our internal experience as a way of protecting our organisms from sensations and emotions that could become overwhelming.

Be patient and keep reminding yourself that you don’t need to experience everything now. This hero’s journey moves one tiny step at a time. Attending one of our Playshops will help you get there a lot quicker.
