Posture awareness
Opening the Chest
Any asana that stretches the muscles of the rib cage and expands the area around the heart will have the same benefits. Chest openers keep the breath strong and vital, ward off depression, and strengthen the immune system.
Working the Joints
The synovial fluid of the joints does not get rejuvenated unless we physically move our joints. Simple wrist, ankle, and knee circles are as effective as anything.
Yoga for Core Strength
Most of the sitting and standing yoga poses and exercises build core strength, leading to better posture awareness. With a strong core and good abdominals, someone is more likely to sit and walk straight and tall.
Yoga breathing techniques teach you to lengthen and deepen your breath. This increases lung capacity, elicits a relaxation response, lowers levels of stress hormones, and ushers in feelings of well-being.
They also relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. An increase in awareness of your body, reduces the chances of injury.

108 Cases of ‘golden’ Scripture Leaves:

The Tibetan Dragon Sutra, also known as the Dragon Canon or Longzangjing, is a magnificent 17thC Tibetan Buddhist canon written in sparkling gold ink on deep indigo-dyed paper. It acted as a protector of the Qing Dynasty for about 130 years.
