True Dynamic Balance

The cardinal principle of efficient movement is balance. This is balance between body & mind, and the actual physical balance of the body itself. Balance is a dynamic state, requiring constant adjustment, even when standing still.

A body in a state of true balance (aligned with gravity and free of tension) is poised to move and generate force most efficiently. The mind & body have innate mechanisms to maintain such an alignment, both in motion and at rest.

The first step toward creating efficient martial techniques is allowing these mechanisms to function free of counter productive subconscious actions of the reptilian brain.

When these actions are not fully executed, the energy generated will get trapped in our joints and muscles, causing unnatural motions and posturing, plus permanent muscle tension for the rest of our lives. This results in premature physical aging. Read our Traumalogy section for more details.

Improper skeletal alignment and excess muscular tension cause the loss of true dynamic balance, the key to efficient movement and martial arts. Unbalance requires constant physical effort to “hold” oneself up. Balance in stillness and motion, allows for a full focus on the entire being.

  • The Joy Factor

“Count your blessings” How do experts predict disaster? The insurance industry uses a mathematical formula called the hazard function. This function yields, through frequency counts of disastrous events and the use of basic calculus and probability theory, the likelihood that a specified ‘hazard’ will happen in the very next instant. This could be a fire,…

  • Body Muscle Testing

Muscle testing is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs and preferences. Muscle testing assesses the body’s responses when a slight pressure is applied to a large muscle. Your body provides authentic information on sounds, colors, thoughts, emotions, energy blockages, organ functioning, nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, as well as testing…

Kidneys stones range in color and also in size, from a grain of sand to huge deposits. They consist of pure monosodium urate, calcium oxalate, or calcium phosphate. They form in the collecting tubules, pelvis, or ureters, and cause obstruction, dilatation, and atrophy. Eventually, this will lead to acute kidney failure. Gout is for about…

Biodynamic permaculture farming involves restoring the soil to a balanced living condition through the use of a completely digested form of crude organic matter known as stabilized humus. Extensive research in the field of molecular biology, has shown that all patterns on the surface of plants, animals, insects and other living systems, form an integral part of the total energy system of life. This pattern is related to the peripheral energy flow on a body’s surface, which usually interacts with the environment to…
